This not only indicates that the hose reel has passed inspection but also serves as a safety measure. Fire hose reels are intended for emergency use only. Standing water inside the hose can lead to Legionella growth. To prevent this, hose reels are sealed with easily breakable seals such as the FS-300. The FS-300 is available from stock in red, yellow, and green, allowing for immediate visual confirmation that the hose reel is properly sealed.
