Ratchet Strap
Ratchet straps, also known as lashing straps, secure cargo on trailers, in lorries and in containers. The right strap depends on the weight, dimensions and shape of the cargo. Navacqs supplies ratchet straps in various widths and lengths, with a ratchet or a cam buckle.
Types of ratchet straps
The range covers four types:
One piece straps: a single strap with ratchet or buckle, for bundling cargo.
Two piece straps: a ratchet section and a separate section with hook, for securing cargo to anchor points.
Cam buckle straps: close with a cam buckle instead of a ratchet.
Self winding straps: roll themselves up after use.
Ratchet strap label
The label of a ratchet strap to EN 12195-2 states, among other things:
the LC (lashing capacity): the maximum force the strap may take in a straight pull
the STF (standard tension force): the tension the ratchet builds up in normal use
The colour of the label indicates the material: blue for polyester, green for polyamide and brown for polypropylene.
Custom ratchet straps
Ratchet straps can also be made to order. Length, strap width, hook type, ratchet or buckle and colour can all be chosen. Printing with a company name or logo shows who the strap belongs to. Every custom strap is made to EN 12195-2.
