Ratchet Straps

A two piece ratchet strap consists of a ratchet section and a separate strap, each with a hook or fitting at the end. Both parts are attached to an anchor point, after which the ratchet tensions the strap. This secures cargo to the load bed of a trailer, lorry or container. Navacqs supplies two piece ratchet straps with an LC from 800 to 10,000 daN.

The lighter versions suit furniture, boxes and smaller machines. The heavy duty versions secure pallets, building materials and large machinery. The higher the LC, the wider the strap and the heavier the ratchet and hooks.

Hooks and fittings

The right hook depends on the anchor points on the vehicle. A claw hook grips the edge of a load bed or an anchor point. A keyhole fitting clicks into a lashing rail, as found in many vans and trailers.
