Navacqs container locks are fitted to shipping containers, storage containers, trailers and lorries. The right choice depends on the value of the cargo, insurance requirements and how often the lock is used. Trailer locks are also included in this category.
Container locks are specially developed for securing shipping containers, trailers and cargo boxes. By using high quality materials such as hardened steel and advanced locking mechanisms, these locks form a reliable barrier against unauthorised access. Several models are certified with the SCM quality mark, indicating that the lock has been thoroughly tested and meets the highest demands in transport security. For long term use and protection against extreme weather conditions, the locks feature protective covers and corrosion resistant finishes.
The assortment consists of various types of container locks, each with its own specific features. The Steel Container Lock is a solid lock with an adjustable shackle and an integrated drill resistant cylinder lock. The Cobra Container Lock is supplied with an Abloy® PL-358T or SBS PL7000 padlock and holds the highest SCM classification Heavy Duty. These locks are suitable for insured transport and can be expanded with keyed alike systems or key plans. For additional protection of container seals, the Seal Protector SP-4 is available, which also functions as a lock. The Budget Container Lock offers a cost effective yet reliable option and is supplied with a hardened Duro® block lock.
Container locks from Navacqs are used in a wide range of logistics, storage and transport situations. They secure export containers during international transport, trailers at parking areas or loading sites, and storage containers on company premises or industrial locations. Thanks to adjustable shackles, the locks fit nearly all standard container formats and trailer types. They can also be used as temporary security during pre transport and post transport, or as permanent locking solutions in areas with elevated theft risks.
The container locks supplied by Navacqs are designed to withstand extreme force. Certified locks such as the Cobra Container Lock with Abloy® PL-358T or SBS PL7000 undergo rigorous testing in which they must resist at least 300 seconds of attacks using mechanical and battery powered tools. Impact tests, temperature changes and corrosion tests are also part of the certification procedures. Budget options such as the Steel Container Lock with the Duro® block lock combine a solid construction with an attractive price and offer reliable protection against prying, cutting or drilling.
A container lock is fitted around the two middle locking bars of the container doors. The adjustable bracket closes around the bars, after which the lock is locked. The door handles can then no longer be operated, so the doors stay closed. The lock is visible from the outside, which also acts as a deterrent.
SCM is a Dutch certification issued by Kiwa SCM. A lock with this certification has been independently tested for burglary resistance, so insurers know what the lock can withstand. For valuable cargo or transport through high risk areas, an SCM certified lock can be a condition of the transport insurance.
