Corner Castings

Corner castings are solid corner blocks made of cast steel that are mounted on the corners of sea containers. They form the foundation for safe lifting, stacking and transport of containers by sea. Thanks to their standardized design, containers can be quickly and efficiently connected worldwide using twistlocks or lifting equipment.

Container connection

Corner castings are indispensable when building or repairing a container. Also in custom constructions such as offshore frames, container platforms or mobile units, these corner blocks provide a reliable connection. They ensure that the structure can be easily lifted, secured or coupled, for example on a ship, trailer or pontoon.

Made according to international ISO standard

All corner castings in the range comply with the ISO 1161:2016 standard. This means they are fully compatible with all standard container dimensions and corresponding twistlocks. The use of certified cast steel (SCW480) and a protective primer coating guarantees high strength, durability and weldability.

Available individually or as complete sets

There are four variants available: Top Left, Top Right, Bottom Left and Bottom Right. These can be ordered individually or as a set of 4 or 8 pieces. This makes them suitable for both partial repairs and full constructions.
