The Bolt Seal Protector SP-4 safeguards an applied container seal (bolt seal) while also functioning as a container lock. The bright red steel housing encloses the locking mechanism of the container and shields the Duro® F320 padlock from unauthorised access. This ensures the container remains securely closed, while the original seal serves as proof that the cargo has not been opened during transport.

Additional protection for container seals

The SP-4 is specially designed to protect container seals. The housing fits precisely around the container’s locking mechanism, where the seal is also placed. Container seals are mandatory for export and feature a unique imprint as proof against tampering. The SP-4 protects both the locking mechanism and the seal, ensuring the integrity of the cargo. The hardened steel housing consists of two hinged parts, making it easy to install. The integrated Duro® pin lock securely closes the SP-4.

Also functions as a container lock

In addition to protecting the seal, the Bolt Seal Protector SP-4 can be used as a full container lock. Once installed, the locking bars of the container cannot be opened. This makes the lock ideal for hauliers during pre and post transport, or for securing sealed containers on site until handover to the carrier.

Equipped with Duro® pin lock and three keys

The SP-4 is fitted with the high quality Duro® F320 block lock. Instead of a traditional shackle, this lock uses a horizontal steel pin positioned between two hardened steel parts. This design makes the pin extremely difficult to access with tools such as grinders or chisels. The cylinder is further protected by anti drill plates. The SP-4 is supplied as standard with three keys.
