Used with sealing wire and sealing pliers

Sealing with wire and sealing leads is a traditional yet highly reliable method. To complete the seal, sealing wire is threaded through the lead and crimped shut using a sealing plier. Once closed, the seal cannot be reopened or the wire pulled back, ensuring tamper resistance and security.

Plastic sealing leads are supplied in bags of 1,000 pieces. The compact and resealable packaging makes them easy to transport and store, while allowing users to take only the required quantity on-site.

Suitable for sealing meters and technical installations

This sealing method offers a secure and long-lasting solution for sealing meters and equipment. Because polystyrene is moisture-resistant, these sealing leads are suitable for use in damp environments such as gas, electricity, and water meter housings. However, installation must always be performed by a certified technician in coordination with the grid operator. Private individuals are not permitted to remove or replace meter seals without authorization.

As an alternative to this traditional method, the Twist Seal can be used. This seal requires no pliers and features a standard cable length of 30 cm.
