Roll Tin Seals are aluminium seals that roll tightly around the sealing wire when applied. The NZT-2 Roll Tin Seal Press is required to apply these seals correctly. Using this tool, the seal can easily be rolled and pressed securely around sealing wire or cord. Each Roll Tin Seal is individually numbered with a one-time unique serial number, ensuring full traceability. Optional customization with a company name or logo is available.
To apply Roll Tin Seals, a special press is required: the NZT-2 Roll Tin Seal Press by Navacqs. This tool is designed specifically for rolling and sealing tin seals. Thanks to its solid construction, the NZT-2 is built for long-term use and can handle thousands of seals, making it both a secure and cost-effective sealing method.
Rolling tin seals is one of the most traditional sealing methods, especially common in Belgium and among customs authorities. The combination of a Roll Tin Seal and sealing wire or cord forms a durable, tamper-evident closure that has been trusted for decades.
This sealing method has been used for many years and is well known for its reliability. To apply the seal, the sealing wire is first twisted several times to create extra grip. The twisted section is placed inside the Roll Tin Seal, which is then inserted into the NZT-2 press. When the handles are squeezed, the tin rolls tightly around the wire and compresses it securely. Once closed, it cannot be opened without visible damage. The result is a strong, permanent seal that effectively prevents tampering.
Roll Tin Seals are ideal for sealing gas, water, and electricity meters, as well as technical installations and industrial equipment. The thin sealing wire fits easily through narrow openings, and wire length can be adjusted as needed. For safety reasons, installation may only be carried out by certified technicians and with permission from the relevant authority.
Each Roll Tin Seal is supplied with a unique ascending number, produced only once. Both Navacqs and the manufacturer guarantee that every number combination is unique. This numbering can be recorded during sealing to improve traceability and prevent fraud or manipulation.
Customized seals with your company name or logo are available upon request. Please contact Navacqs for details or a quotation.

Rolled metal seals are used when a sturdy, fixed seal is needed that can't come loose.
Using a special plier, the aluminium seal is rolled tightly around the sealing wire. This creates a very secure attachment that can't be removed without visible damage.
This method is widely used for meters and technical installations.
The sealing wire is threaded through the opening to be sealed, after which the ends are twisted around each other for extra grip. The rolled seal is then placed and crimped shut with a special plier.
The plier rolls the aluminium seal tightly around the wire, so it's securely fastened.
Steps:
thread the sealing wire through the object
twist the ends lightly around each other
place the seal in the plier
crimp the seal shut so it rolls closed
Rolled metal seals are applied with a special plier that rolls the seal around the wire. Snap seals are closed by hand and need no tools.
The difference in use:
rolled metal seals → with pliers, very securely fastened
snap seals → without pliers, quicker to apply
Rolled metal seals are chosen when a fixed attachment matters more than speed.
Rolled metal seals carry a unique number so seals can be registered and checked. By noting the number when sealing, you can later check whether the seal is still original.
This makes it harder to swap out a seal unnoticed.
