The Selflock Seal Aluminium can be easily closed by hand without the use of sealing pliers or other tools. Sealing with Selflock Seals is a simple yet cost-effective way of securing containers, meters, and technical equipment. These seals are used in combination with sealing wire. To create a secure seal, the wire must be placed crosswise inside the Selflock Seal. Once closed, the wire cannot be pulled out again. Each seal has a unique serial number that is produced only once to ensure full traceability.
Unlike lead or plastic sealing leads, the Selflock Seal Aluminium can be closed entirely by hand. No sealing pliers are required, saving both time and money. This makes the Selflock Seal a practical and efficient sealing solution. To complete the seal, sealing wire is required.
The Selflock Seal Aluminium is made of high-quality aluminium. The material is lightweight yet strong, providing excellent reliability and tamper resistance. Aluminium is also resistant to corrosion, moisture, and temperature changes, making the seal suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications, including cold storage and humid environments.
The locking mechanism is designed for one-time use. When broken, the internal lock snaps off, preventing the seal from being reused or reclosed.
The Selflock Seal Aluminium is used in combination with Navacqs sealing wire for various applications, including the sealing of sample jars, meters, and technical installations. The aluminium housing resists chemicals and liquids, ensuring consistent performance even in harsh environments.
Each Selflock Seal Aluminium features a unique imprint and ascending numbering. Every number combination is produced only once, ensuring traceability and security. Numbering can be registered during sealing to further prevent tampering or fraud.

Snap seals are chosen when you want to seal quickly without using sealing pliers. The seal is closed by hand by clicking the sealing wire into the mechanism. This saves time, and you don't need any extra tools.
This makes them suitable for situations where many seals are applied one after another, or where no pliers are available. It works nice and fast.
The sealing wire is placed crossed over in the opening of the snap seal. The seal is then pressed shut by hand. The internal mechanism clamps the wire in place, so it can no longer be pulled back.
Once closed, the seal can't be reopened without damaging it.
Steps:
thread the sealing wire through the object
cross the ends inside the seal
press the seal shut by hand
No, snap seals are intended for single use. On opening, the internal mechanism breaks, so the seal can't be closed again.
This makes it visible that the seal has been broken.
Snap seals carry a unique number so seals can be registered and checked. By recording the number when sealing, you can later check whether the seal is still original.
This helps flag substitution or unauthorized opening.
Snap seals are closed by hand and need no tools. Rolled seals are applied using a special plier that rolls the seal around the wire.
The difference in use:
snap seals → quick, no pliers needed
rolled seals → with pliers, tighter and more securely fastened
Snap seals are more practical for quick use, while rolled seals are used when a fixed, secure attachment matters more.
