Biodegradable through Special Additive

The X-Seal Biodegradable is made from Polypropylene (PP) enhanced with a biodegradable additive that allows microorganisms to decompose the material completely within approximately five years. Without this additive, traditional plastic seals would take centuries to break down. The degradation process occurs only under conditions of high microbial activity, such as in industrial composting facilities. During normal use, the seal remains completely intact and secure.
