With the Intermediate Twistlock IF-51, sea containers can be stacked easily and safely. This manually operated twistlock is designed for vertical locking between standard ISO containers and provides a reliable solution for applications on vessels, terminals and custom-built constructions.

Easy locking of two containers

You place the IF-51 twistlock between the corners (corner castings) of two containers. After placement, you turn the handle manually, firmly locking the containers together. This twistlock is suitable for stacking both empty and loaded containers, as long as hoisting or transport is involved. Note: The IF-51 is intended exclusively for locking and not for lifting or transport over the road.

Always a perfect fit

You do not need to worry about compatibility. The IF-51 fits seamlessly into standard ISO 1161 container corner castings. It also provides an excellent fit for bulk carriers or custom-designed constructions.

Available in left- or right-locking versions

The IF-51 is available in both left- and right-locking versions. Which one you choose depends on your preference or work process. Many users choose a combination of 2 left- and 2 right-locking units per container, so the handles point inward when correctly locked. Prefer simplicity? Choose one locking direction for faster placement without mistakes.

Galvanized steel for maximum durability

The housing of this twistlock is made from galvanized steel (40Cr) and finished with a corrosion-resistant coating. This makes the IF-51 resistant to harsh weather conditions, saltwater and wear—ideal for long-term use in the maritime sector.

Reliable locking without recoil

Internally, the twistlock is equipped with a sealed bearing and a spring mechanism. This construction prevents the handle from unintentionally shifting, even under vibration or external load. You can therefore work with confidence, even in demanding environments.
