The Semi Automatic Twistlock IF-55 is the solution when you need to quickly lock two stacked containers securely together. Thanks to the automatic locking mechanism, it saves valuable time during loading and unloading. You only need to position it—locking happens automatically.
Unlike manually operated variants, the IF-55 twistlock locks automatically as soon as it is placed into a container corner. This enables a faster and more efficient working method, especially when multiple containers must be stacked. Unlocking is done using a stainless-steel pull cable with an orange button, giving you full control over the release process.
The IF-55 can be attached to the underside of the upper container as well as to the top side of the lower container. In both cases, the smart construction ensures a safe, stable connection. When placed, the point automatically snaps into the locked position without requiring manual intervention.
Releasing containers is simple. By pulling the stainless-steel cable to the correct position, the twistlock disengages from the upper or lower container. The IF-55 remains inside the container when you lift it, ready for reuse at the next loading cycle.
The housing of the IF-55 is made of high-quality galvanized steel and resistant to corrosion, salt, impact and temperature fluctuations. Both the tips and the internal parts are robustly coated, ensuring years of reliable operation even in maritime environments.
The IF-55 is ideal for applications where speed and reliability are crucial, such as ports, terminals and large logistics hubs. Its semi-automatic mechanism makes the twistlock extremely efficient in terms of time and safety. It prevents incorrect placement because the mechanism locks automatically.
