Glass sample bottles from Navacqs are chemically inert and transparent. Glass does not react with its contents, so the sample stays unchanged. This makes them suitable for accurate sampling of liquids.
Glass sample bottles are shipped by full pallet only. That way, the bottles arrive intact. Smaller quantities can be collected from our warehouse in Rotterdam. No other shipping methods are available at checkout.
The glass sample bottles are available from stock in 250 ml, 500 ml and 1000 ml. They come sealed in sturdy trays, with a white cap as standard. A different cap or a custom solution is available on request.
The 250 ml bottle weighs 140 grams and has a 28 DIN screw neck. Each tray holds 60 bottles. The 500 ml bottle also has a 28 DIN neck. It weighs 233 grams and is packed in 35s. At 450 grams, the 1000 ml bottle is the heaviest and comes in packs of 20. All bottles are made of clear Type III glass, with height, width and neck diameter suited to laboratory use.
Thanks to the clear glass, the contents can be checked without opening the bottle. Useful for quick checks on volume, clarity or contamination.
The glass sample bottle is suitable for water and other liquids, as well as dry substances. Thanks to the transparent glass, volume, clarity and any contamination are visible without opening the bottle. The bottle is available in 250 ml, 500 ml and 1000 ml.
Type 3 glass is made of silica, soda and lime and is the most widely used glass type for sample bottles. It offers good general chemical resistance, but is less resistant to strong acids and bases. For those samples, the HDPE sample bottle is a better choice.
Glass is fragile. To prevent damage in transit, Navacqs ships glass sample bottles by the full pallet only, via courier. A pallet holds 1800 bottles of 250 ml, 1050 of 500 ml or 600 of 1000 ml. Smaller quantities can be collected from the Navacqs warehouse.
The bottles are packed in film-sealed trays: 60 bottles of 250 ml, 35 of 500 ml or 20 of 1000 ml per tray. Cardboard sheets between the layers reduce pressure on the glass. Once stacked in six layers, the complete pallet is sealed again.
