The Sealing Wire 20/20 is the thinnest sealing wire in the Navacqs range. With a low breaking strength of only 1.7 kg, this wire can be easily broken by hand, making it ideal for emergency applications. It is commonly used in fire safety, for example, to seal fire extinguishers and emergency stop buttons. The wire is flexible, easy to cut, and supplied on a 400-meter spool.
The Sealing Wire 20/20 consists of two twisted galvanized steel strands — both the core and outer strand are 0.2 mm in diameter, resulting in a total wire thickness of only 0.6 mm. This double structure provides reliable grip inside the seal, ensuring that once the seal is crimped shut with sealing pliers, the wire cannot be moved or reused.
A key feature of the 20/20 sealing wire is its low 1.7 kg breaking strength. This allows the seal to be broken quickly and safely without tools — essential in emergency situations where immediate access is required. Despite its thin diameter, the wire remains strong enough to hold during normal use while allowing controlled breakage when needed.
The Sealing Wire 20/20 is designed for use with traditional lead seals and a sealing plier, such as the NZT-1P. Both ends of the wire are threaded through the seal and then crimped. Once sealed, the wire cannot be pulled back or reused. The braided design and tight fit make this method tamper-proof and secure.
Each 400-meter spool is lightweight, compact, and easy to handle. The wire can be cut to any desired length on-site, making it convenient for mobile or large-scale sealing tasks.
Due to its low breaking strength, the Sealing Wire 20/20 is ideal for applications where seals must be easily removable in emergencies. It is widely used for sealing fire extinguishers, emergency stop buttons, and other safety devices that must remain accessible at all times.
