The Abloy® PL358T is one of the strongest padlocks in the world. Its 14 mm thick hardened boron steel shackle and SKG quality mark guarantee maximum protection. The lock meets the strict requirements of CEN class 5 and is resistant to corrosion, freezing and wear. The cylinder contains no springs or fragile components, ensuring smooth operation for many years. Thanks to its double ball locking system and hardened cylinder disc, the lock provides superior resistance against tampering. It is supplied as standard with two unique keys and a Protec² cylinder. Keyed alike versions are available on request.

14 mm boron steel shackle

The PL358T is built entirely from high quality materials. The 14 mm thick shackle is made of boron steel, which is significantly harder than standard steel. Both the shackle and the body are chrome plated to protect against corrosion, even in salty or humid environments. Internal components are also treated against rust, ensuring smooth performance under the most demanding conditions.

Certified to CEN (Central European Norm) Class 5

The Abloy® PL358T is classified as CEN class 5, indicating a very high security level within the European padlock standard. Locks within this standard are tested for resistance to cutting, drilling and forced entry. The longer a lock withstands these tests, the higher its classification. Class 5 indicates that the padlock is extremely robust and reliable for use in demanding environments.

To meet CEN standards, padlocks are tested in several areas, such as drilling resistance of the body and shackle, as well as sawing resistance. The longer the material resists these actions, the higher the rating.

Highly reliable design with double ball locking system

The internal design of the PL358T focuses on durability and reliability. The lock contains no delicate mechanical parts such as springs. Instead, it uses a rotating mechanism with two steel balls that lock securely into the shackle notches. This ensures a strong and secure closure, as well as long term performance even under intensive use.

Key certificate for ordering additional Protec² keys

Keys for the Abloy® PL358T padlock feature the Protec² system and can only be ordered through Navacqs or ASSA Abloy®. The keys cannot be duplicated by regular locksmiths and are also protected against 3D printing due to the unique rotating ball within the key. Additional keys can only be ordered by presenting the supplied key certificate. Keep this certificate in a safe place, as reordering without it is not possible.

Expandable with keyed alike locks or a master key system

Each lock is supplied as standard with two identical keys and a unique cylinder. On request, multiple PL358T padlocks can be supplied keyed alike so that all locks can be opened with one key. The locks can also be integrated into a master key system in which individual keys open a single lock, while a master key opens all locks within the system.
