The Sealing Wire 50/30 Spool is the most commonly used sealing wire in the Navacqs range. It consists of two intertwined steel strands, providing extra grip and strength. When used with lead seals and sealing pliers, it offers a highly reliable sealing method. The 50/30 wire is made of galvanized steel, has a breaking strength of 7 kg, and is suitable for applications such as gas, electricity, and water meters. It is available in bundles of 100 meters and 400 meters.

Construction: 0.5 mm core wire with 0.3 mm wrapped strand

The name 50/30 refers to the composition of the wire: a 0.5 mm steel core wrapped with a 0.3 mm outer wire. This double-strand structure ensures excellent grip, locking the wire firmly inside the lead seal once crimped with pliers. Once sealed, the wire cannot be moved or reused, effectively preventing tampering, a risk often present with smooth steel or cord.

Available in 90 and 360 meter bundles

The sealing wire is supplied on compact bundles that are easy to handle and transport. The wire can be cut to any required length. The 90-meter bundle is convenient for regular use, while the 360-meter version is ideal for high-volume applications. Additionally, pre-cut wire bundles of 1,000 pieces are available in lengths of 20, 30, or 40 cm.

Use with lead seals and sealing pliers

Sealing Wire 50/30 is used together with lead seals and a sealing press. Both ends of the wire are threaded through the seal, which is then crimped closed with pliers. The braided texture prevents the wire from being pulled back, ensuring a secure, tamper-evident seal.

Galvanized steel with 7 kg breaking strength

The wire is made from galvanized steel, resistant to moisture and corrosion. With a breaking strength of 7 kg, it offers sufficient durability for seals that must not be opened by hand. A lighter version, Sealing Wire 20/20, has a breaking strength of 1.7 kg and is suitable for low-tension or emergency applications.

Applications: meters and technical installations

With its thin 1.1 mm diameter, this sealing wire is ideal for securing gas, electricity, and water meters, as well as technical or industrial equipment. Installation may only be performed by certified technicians in consultation with the network operator. For applications where sealing pliers are not desired, the Twist Seal is a suitable alternative. Note: Private individuals are not permitted to replace seals in meter cabinets without prior authorization from the network operator.
