The Cobra Container Lock SBS PL7000 padlock is certified with the highest achievable KIWA SCM Heavy Duty classification. Many insurers require this standard for transport security. The lock is adjustable from 240 mm to 460 mm, making it suitable for all common containers and trailers. It is supplied as standard with two keys and can optionally be delivered keyed alike.

Thanks to its high quality construction, the Cobra Container Lock SBS PL7000 provides secure locking for containers and trailers. The Heavy Duty certification confirms its strong resistance against tampering, intrusion and weather conditions. For long lasting performance, periodic maintenance such as cleaning with WD40 or Brunox is recommended.

The lock is thoroughly tested by the independent organisation KIWA SCM. Since 1993, KIWA has assessed security products according to inspection standard MP03, with experts from the security, transport and insurance sectors involved in the evaluation process.

Strict practical testing

The Cobra Container Lock undergoes twelve rigorous practical tests. These include corrosion, dust and freezing resistance tests, during which the lock is exposed to minus 20 degrees Celsius for two hours. It is also subjected to drop tests and attack tests using hand and power tools. The Heavy Duty classification means that the lock must withstand at least 300 seconds of forced entry attempts.

The included SBS PL7000 padlock is based on the specifications of the renowned Abloy® PL-358T lock. The bright red steel housing is perfectly matched to the lock, ensuring optimal shielding and protection. The minimal clearance between components makes it extremely difficult for tools to reach and manipulate the mechanism.

Adjustable shackle (240 mm to 460 mm) fits all standard shipping containers

The container lock consists of a cast steel shackle and a steel lock housing. Thanks to its adjustable design, it is suitable for various bar distances, making it compatible with virtually all standard containers and trailers.

Key certificate for ordering additional keys

Keys can only be ordered through Navacqs by presenting the included key certificate. This certificate is unique and essential for preventing unauthorised duplication of keys.

Expandable with keyed alike locks or a master key system

Lock housings can be produced keyed alike by the manufacturer, allowing multiple locks to be opened with a single key. Integration into a master key system is also possible, where individual keys open only one lock, while a master key opens all locks within the system. Contact us to discuss the available options.
