The Deck Socket DF-31 is developed to make the Dovetail Twistlock BF-11 and the U-Frame Lashing Eye LP-91-45 easily detachable. This keeps the deck of a ship, trailer or other structure free from protruding components. The DF-31 is made of cast steel (SCW480), coated with a protective primer layer and has a tested breaking strength of 500 kN (50 tons).

Suitable for BF-11 Twistlock and LP-91-45 Lashing Eye

The Deck Socket DF-31 makes it possible to place and remove twistlocks or lashing eyes. The BF-11 twistlock is slid into the socket and remains securely locked when a container is secured. The same base plate can also be used with the U-Frame Lashing Eye LP-91-45 (36 tons), ideal for securing other types of cargo such as machinery or steel structures. Thanks to this flexibility, the DF-31 is suitable for situations in which the type of cargo changes regularly.

Robust design with high breaking strength

The Deck Socket DF-31 is tested to a breaking strength of 500 kN and a shear load of 420 kN. This makes the base plate suitable for heavy offshore or maritime applications. The cast-steel frame is blasted and coated with a primer. This coating provides protection against corrosion and does not need to be removed before welding. Note: the Deck Socket DF-31 is not suitable for road transport. For this, special twistlocks with a locking mechanism are required.

Easy to weld onto steel structures

The Deck Socket DF-31 is designed for direct attachment to steel surfaces such as the deck of a ship or a pontoon. It can also be welded onto trailers and platforms. The 45° inner corner is standard, but a version with 55° is available upon request. Ensure that during installation the base plates are welded in opposite directions. This creates a secure locking effect once a container or structure is placed.
