In the food industry, sealing is used to establish whether packaging and transport equipment have been opened or tampered with along the way, from production through to final destination. This includes sealing trucks and drums used to transport food products, using a food-safe design so the locking mechanism contains no materials that could come loose on contact with food. Because each seal carries a unique, sequential number, it's possible to check on arrival whether a shipment has remained undisturbed in transit, supporting traceability throughout the chain.
