Charities

For charities, sealing is used to establish whether collection boxes and donation boxes have been accessed without authorization between the moment they're placed and when they're emptied. This includes collection boxes left in a fixed location for days or weeks, or donation boxes collected by volunteers and brought to a central point. Because each seal carries a unique, sequential number, it's immediately clear when emptying a box whether it has remained undisturbed, and the number of boxes issued and returned can easily be checked against each other.
