Fire Safety
In fire safety, sealing is used to establish whether fire extinguishers and fire hose reels have remained unused since the last check. Because this equipment must be immediately usable in an emergency, a low breaking strength is actually preferred here: anyone should be able to break the seal without tools the moment it's needed. As long as the seal is intact, it confirms an extinguisher or hose reel hasn't been touched since the previous check. If the seal is broken or missing, that's the direct signal to inspect the equipment and make it ready for use again.
